The 90xboot Ladder
90xboot is not one bootcamp — it's a laddered, multi-track learning system. Each rung is one 90-day cycle built around one hireable role. You stack cycles, and the blend becomes your senior or staff profile.
Proof beats certificates everywhere on this ladder. Read the full philosophy on the /why page.
New to engineering?
Start with the Python On-Ramp — two weeks to a working foundation — then move into a foundation rung (Backend/Full-Stack or Cloud/DevOps).
Already a working engineer?
Use Lateral Entry to clear prerequisites and join directly at a foundation or role rung — no need to repeat fundamentals.
Entry Points
How you get onto the ladder.
Python On-Ramp
2 weeks to a working engineering foundation.
A 2-week on-ramp for freshers with no prior engineering background. You learn just enough Python, Git, and command-line fluency to start a real foundation rung without drowning in fundamentals.
Lateral Entry
Already mid-level? Skip the on-ramp, clear the prerequisites.
For engineers who already have professional experience. Instead of repeating fundamentals, you clear a short prerequisite check for the rung you're aiming at, then join the ladder directly at a foundation or role rung.
Foundation Rungs
The load-bearing cycles every role rung above assumes you already have.
Backend / Full-Stack
The load-bearing rung underneath every role on the ladder.
One 90-day cycle to become a competent backend/full-stack engineer: APIs, databases, auth, testing, and shipping a real application end to end. This is the foundation every role rung above it assumes you already have.
Cloud / DevOps
The infrastructure rung that makes everything above it deployable.
One 90-day cycle covering cloud fundamentals (AWS/Azure), containers, CI/CD, and observability. This rung is what turns 'it runs on my machine' into 'it runs in production.'
Role Rungs
Each one is a single 90-day cycle aimed at one hireable role.
AI Engineering
One cycle to a hireable AI engineering role.
Applied GenAI and agentic systems: RAG pipelines, tool-using agents, evaluation, and production hardening. This is a role rung, not the whole ladder — it's one of several tracks you can stack.
Data Engineering
One cycle to a hireable data engineering role.
Pipelines, orchestration, warehousing, and data quality at a level that survives contact with production data. Pairs naturally with AI engineering or cloud/DevOps for senior blends.
Inference Engineering
One cycle to a hireable inference/serving role.
Model serving, latency and throughput optimization, GPU-aware deployment, and inference cost control. This is the rung between 'a model exists' and 'a model serves traffic reliably and cheaply.'
Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE)
One cycle to a hireable FDE role — with an honest floor.
Customer-facing engineering: rapid prototyping, integration work, and shipping under ambiguous, changing requirements. Be honest with yourself about the floor here — FDE rewards judgment and communication as much as code, and this cycle alone does not make you senior.
Stack rungs into an Advanced Pathway
Senior and staff profiles aren't a single cycle — they're a blend of role rungs. See how the ladder compounds into Senior AI/Platform Engineer, Advanced FDE, and Inference Specialist.
